Get To Know Junior League of Austin

For the past 5 years Melody has been an active contributing member of the Junior League of Austin and a huge proponent of the work that they do.

The Junior League of Austin is a diverse group of dedicated women working to make Austin a better place.  The Junior League of Austin is a non-profit organization formed in 1934 committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.  Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

The Junior League of Austin's members serve as trained volunteers at League Signature Impact projects and through Community Project partnerships with 29 non-profit agencies and programs throughout the Austin area. JLA volunteers support initiatives to enhance education, health and well-being, safety and crisis intervention, the arts, and the environment. Each dollar raised by The Junior League of Austin is tripled in value by our volunteers' time. In fact, this year alone they will invest more than $780,000 and 100,000 volunteer hours in improving our community.

Melody currently serves as the PR & Marketing Chair for the Coats for Kids campaign run by the Junior League of Austin.
